Cardiac Cath Lab RN Practices within the RN scope as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing, applying the nursing process to patient care, patient/family education, documentation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
Performs and supports cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular, and electrophysiology procedures. Serves as a clinical resource/lead for staff to ensure safe, efficient patient care. Assists with patient identification, preparation, draping, and room setup; follows physician orders and procedural protocols. Participates in Universal Protocol and site verification processes. Maintains, calibrates, and troubleshoots special procedures equipment; ensures preventive maintenance compliance. Ensures adherence to regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.
Contributes to process improvement and patient satisfaction initiatives. Maintains current knowledge through continuing education, certifications, and professional engagement.
