Position: Travel Registered Nurse ER Job

Overview

Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Coos Bay, Oregon.

Start date:

06/16/2026. Estimated duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,926–$1,971. Shift: 3x12-hour nights. Setting: hospital-based ER. This travel position is a temporary assignment with no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
  • Apply the nursing process to the care of patients within the ER, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Triage incoming patients and continuously monitor and document patient status, responding to changes in condition promptly.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, and other prescribed treatments; monitor for adverse reactions and document responses.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, radiology, pharmacy, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to coordinate comprehensive care.
  • Document all patient interactions, care plans, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record; provide patient and family education.
  • Support patient safety and comfort, assist with procedures, and participate in discharge planning and patient throughput as needed.
Requirements
  • Oregon RN license; active status not required at submission but must be willing to obtain if not active.
  • Minimum 2 years of emergency department experience; recent acute care hospital experience required within the past 2 years.
  • ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications; must be current or willing to obtain if not active at submission.
  • Ability to work 12‑hour night shifts (3x12) and participate in on‑call and weekend scheduling as determined by the facility.
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes ER environment.
