Registered Nurse – IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit Nurse

Provide specialized nursing care within the Intermediate/Progressive Care Unit, ensuring patient safety and optimal health outcomes. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Responsibilities:

• Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Educate patients and their significant others about health management and treatment plans.
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record in compliance with hospital policies.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate coordinated patient care.
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards specific to the IMCU/PCU/Stepdown units.
• Maintain professional credentials and stay current with hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 24 months of current experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Have at least 24 months of recent experience in an Intermediate, Progressive Care, Telemetry, or Stepdown unit.
• Hold an Oregon State RN license or be willing to obtain it.
• Be certified in BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA); certifications don't need to be active at submission but must be obtainable.
• Demonstrate strong clinical skills and knowledge in telemetry, stepdown, or similar units.
