Registered Nurse Emergency Room

Job Summary:

Provide high-quality emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency department setting. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and effective clinical management through collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity levels.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and established protocols.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Educate patients and their families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond swiftly to emergency situations, providing life-saving interventions as needed.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Oregon nursing license; willing to obtain or update licensing as needed.
• Recent (within 2 years) acute care hospital nursing experience, specifically in emergency medicine.
• Hold current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications (may be obtained post-hire).
• Demonstrate strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a high-volume emergency department environment.
