American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Float Pool RN requiring recent hospital experience and floating across multiple units.

• Float RN position requiring rotation to the medical care unit, post surgical unit, and Intermediate Care Unit/PCU
• 12-hour day shifts
• 13-week assignment

• Active OR RN license (or willingness to obtain)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) or willingness to obtain
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience required
• Recent hospital experience within the past 5 years required
• Skills checklist required within 1 year

• Apply the nursing process within RN scope of practice as defined by the Oregon State Board of Nursing
• Teach patients and significant others while documenting care in the medical record
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate overall patient care
• Respond effectively to patient crisis and emergency situations
• Maintain flexibility to prioritize and adapt to rapidly-changing patient and unit needs
• Accept assignment to varied units with a friendly, helpful attitude
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested
