Your Role
The Global Account Manager for AMAT/Varian is responsible for delivering profitable market share growth and a world class global infrastructure across the appropriate customer centers, with the aim to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction, contributing to the profitable growth of the SEMI, VSC, SUN & VSS. The Global Account Manager is responsible for providing a key account like AMAT/Varian with the appropriate level of technical, business and service support to ensure the continuation and expansion of Edwards’ business as well as ensuring customer satisfaction with all Edwards products and Services.
MainResponsibilities
- Directly manages a team of sales specialists, account managers, sales engineers, and technical project engineers in support of global account team sales.
- Develops and maintains relationships with all key customer contacts (DMUs), as well as internal regional Edwards teams directly or indirectly supporting the customer.
- Ensures there are sales strategies for selling / supporting all Semi & GV product lines.
- OEM Service Collaboration & End User Install-Base Performance Integration – engaging with regions globally to solicit feedback & key business insights back to the BLMs and Divisional teams.
- Value based selling, clean room problem discovery with the technical support teams and service teams in regions, outcome driven solution deployment.
- Fields all escalations from AMAT/Varian divisions & commodity management and drives resolution as needed.
- Ensures all quotations/new business discussions with AMAT/Varian align with Edwards Corporate goals and the overall account strategy for Edwards Key Account Team.
- Owns the responsibility for the Profit & Loss and the Balance Sheet for AMAT/Varian globally.
- Take the lead globally for AMAT/Varian in terms of driving growth, customer escalations and internally communicating with CC’s, PCs, DCs and the Divisions.
- Develops and implements sales and marketing strategies to build and reinforce target market share and profitability.
- Prepares and achieves business lines sales budgets.
- Tracks and reports out quarterly scorecard. Key activities include accurate and timely submission of necessary information. This includes reporting of OTD, OTTP, STC Repairs, Warranty and Quality etc.
- Prioritizes global objectives for sales focus in alignment with Div‘s PCs & CC GM’s.
- Handles major sales and negotiations for all Edwards business lines for AMAT/Varian.
- Co‑ordinates AMAT/Varian activities between sales & marketing across all BU Div‘s.
- Conducts CRM, forecasting, and inputs to S&OP process.
- Coordination of Global Accounts activities situated in the relevant CC regions.
- Owns the Share and Penetration objectives for AMAT/Varian globally. Drive and build strategies to expand our Share and Penetration in all of AMAT/Varian.
- Develops the global business line with the objective of giving all SEMI / SEMI Service and SEMI Chamber Solutions products the highest probability of winning more profitable market share.
- Ensures coordinated support of global Product and Applications, Product support in terms of delivering a differentiated technology solutions strategy, delivering best‑in‑class customer value.
- Presents at Business Line Meetings with CC’s, Div and Corporate Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or relevant discipline or equivalent working experience in lieu of degree is acceptable.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in semiconductor or related field.
- 5 years’ experience managing a global team or global project.
- Background in the Vacuum & Abatement industry preferred.
- Proven track record in sales and/or marketing and service – 5+ years.
- Proven experience in the effective use of CRM systems and sales & operational processes.
- Possession of business acumen, influencing, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Fluent in English language, written and verbal.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strategic and conceptual capability to lead and develop a regional and global business.
- Very strong customer orientated attitude.
- Dynamic with strong entrepreneurial, interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills.
