Position TypeFull‑Time
Primary PurposeTo contribute to the Essential Services (ESS) team by providing comprehensive housing‑related assistance to clients, managing short‑ to long‑term cases, and ensuring access to necessary resources. The role involves developing personalized action plans, conducting needs assessments, coordinating with local landlords and housing agencies, and serving as an advocate for low‑income individuals and families at risk of homelessness.
Essential Job Functions- Conduct client interviews and gather eligibility documents.
- Compile, record, and evaluate personal and financial data for eligibility verification.
- Complete housing assessments, build stabilization plans, and develop budgeting support.
- Initiate and adjust assistance as required, including referrals to other agencies.
- Maintain regular contact with clients and schedule consistent check‑ins.
- Interview clients at specified intervals to certify eligibility for ongoing benefits.
- Coordinate referrals and services with partner agencies.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive client files with accurate records.
- Update Service Point with current notes on all client interactions.
- Use judgment to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and standards.
- Attend monthly case management meetings and HMIS training as required.
- Participate in additional housing‑based training and seminars.
- Maintain knowledge of job‑specific computer programs.
- Interact professionally with community partners, public, staff, and other partners.
- Communicate effectively using available technologies.
- Participate in program start‑up activities and year‑end closeouts.
- Attend outreach events as needed, including occasional weekends.
- Report safety incidents promptly to supervisor or Safety Committee.
- Maintain company equipment and a safe work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Experience working in social services with low‑income families or crisis situations preferred.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- All combinations of vocational/post‑secondary education, experience, and training will be considered.

Coos Bay, Oregon, serving Coos and Curry Counties. - May lift up to 51 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer work.
- Primarily indoor, climate‑controlled environment with occasional outdoor activities.
- Work may involve travel and use of a personal vehicle.
- Reliable method of transportation.
- Must be free from illegal drugs and subject to suspicion testing.
- Must pass the State of Oregon Criminal Background Check.
- A current Oregon Driver’s License is required.
- Proof of automobile liability insurance ($100,000/300,000 limits).
