Senior Estimator
Senior Estimator works both independently and collaboratively with executive management and project teams to estimate project costs for firm fixed‑price bids, proposals, and change orders. Leveraging field experience, industry knowledge, and solid analytical skills, the Senior Estimator prepares accurate quantity take‑offs and makes sound assumptions to identify gaps in construction documents.

Salary Range: $175,000 - $220,000 USD.
Education / Certifications- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field
- Responsible for all aspects of the estimating process.
- Conduct thorough analysis of drawings and specifications, ensuring required information is provided.
- Perform detailed project cost estimates by analyzing plans and specifications and performing quantity take‑offs for select trades.
- Research selected products from a cost and constructability perspective.
- Solicit subcontractor pricing and bids for different trades in preparation of cost estimates and manage the subcontractor RFP process.
- Qualify and level subcontractor proposals according to project specifications.
- Itemize trade‑specific scopes and prepare bid packages.
- Review progress and construction documents for constructability; lead and participate in discussions regarding alternate details and materials for specific areas or trades.
- Provide and present value engineering options and costs.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Provide and present estimating productions and scheduling.
- Coordinate administrative staff in sending documents to vendors.
- Interact with clients, architects, engineers, and local jurisdictions to understand and incorporate project objectives, schedules, permits, costs, etc.
- Perform any other ad‑hoc duties assigned.
- Over 10 years of experience with a general contractor, specializing in heavy civil construction, particularly in public works, infrastructure, and/or transit projects.
- Experience with projects valued greater than $100M.
- Highly proficient in selected software (Excel, Word, Outlook) and HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software; P6 a plus.
- Proven track record of meeting critical project deadlines.
- Ability to make informed decisions, work independently, and collaborate effectively with estimating team members.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
