As we continue to grow, we are seeking skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Epoxy Floor Installers.

Role:

This role involves hands-on work on commercial and municipal projects including fire departments, schools, warehouses, and mechanical facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

Daily

Duties & Responsibilities:

* Operate floor grinding equipment for concrete surface preparation.

* Perform crack repair, joint preparation, and patching.

* Mix and install epoxy, urethane cement, and coating systems.

* Broadcast flake and sand systems.

* Apply coatings using squeegee and back-roll techniques.

* Maintain clean and organized job sites.

* Demonstrate willingness to take direction, learn systems, and grow within the trade.

* Maintain attention to detail to ensure uniform finishes, proper broadcast application, and clean transitions.

System-Specific Responsibilities:

* Accurately mix multi-component materials including epoxy, urethane cement, and polyaspartic systems according to specified ratios.

* Operate walk-behind floor grinders and hand grinders for concrete surface preparation.

* Adjust diamond tooling based on slab hardness and porosity to achieve the proper Concrete Surface Profile (CSP) without damaging tooling.

* Understand the proper use of PCD tooling for coating removal applications and not for concrete profiling.

* Maintain a working knowledge of concrete surface preparation standards including CSP profiling, edge work, and transition areas.

* Assist with double broadcast systems including flake or quartz applications, proper coverage techniques, and reclaim procedures.

* Apply coatings using squeegee and back-roll techniques to maintain consistent mil thickness.

* Understand pot life, working time, and material handling requirements under varying jobsite conditions.

* Follow direction for moisture mitigation systems and multi-layer installation procedures.

Qualifications:

Required

Skills & Experience:

* OSHA 40 certification.

* Minimum of 2 years of experience with epoxy, urethane cement, or resinous flooring systems.

Preferred

Skills & Experience:

* Experience with polished concrete systems and densification processes.

* Experience operating shot blasters.

Physical Demands & Setting:

* Physically demanding work including lifting, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.

* Early start times and occasional extended work hours may be required.

* Work is performed at various job sites primarily throughout Long Island, with occasional assignments within the five boroughs of New York City and the Hudson Valley region. Travel between job sites is required.

* Exposure to dust, noise, and active construction environments.

* Fast-paced, production-driven work environment.

* Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment weighing up to 50 pounds as needed.

* Work collaboratively as part of a crew to complete projects efficiently.

* Exposure to construction conditions including dust, fumes, odors, and varying temperatures.

* Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
