Were working with an industrial manufacturing client seeking a Senior Project Accountant to oversee the financial performance of large, complex projects. This role will own project accounting from job setup through final billing while partnering closely with project managers, operations, and accounting leadership.

- Prepare progress billings, final invoices, and retainage schedules
- Complete percentage-of-completion and revenue recognition calculations
- Monitor project margins, cost-to-complete estimates, and profitability
- Prepare WIP, backlog, and over/under billing reports
- Handle project accruals, deferrals, reclasses, and adjusting entries
- Partner with project managers to resolve billing, cost, and budget issues
- Review and support the work of junior project accounting staff
- Maintain accurate project documentation and audit support
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Experience with project, construction, or percentage-of-completion accounting
- Experience with job costing, WIP reporting, retainage, and revenue recognition
- Experience analyzing project margins and cost-to-complete estimates
- Previous experience reviewing or mentoring junior staff
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
