OverviewThe Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for overseeing the procurement, distribution, and quality management of all products or ingredients in the Supply Chain Manager’s assigned category used in Smoothie King products. This role requires strategic sourcing, vendor negotiation, contract management, and inventory optimization to ensure supply chain efficiency, cost savings, and product availability. The Supply Chain Manager will play a critical role in maintaining supplier relationships, mitigating risks, and driving operational excellence while aligning with brand growth strategies.
StrategicProcurement & Contract Management
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for the assigned category, ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and reliability.
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and distributors, securing long‑term agreements that optimize pricing, service levels, and supply‑chain stability.
- Evaluate, negotiate, and approve contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential supply‑chain disruptions and develop contingency plans.
- Manage inventory levels across distribution centers, ensuring timely replenishment while minimizing excess stock.
- Oversee supplier performance by analyzing key metrics such as delivery timeliness, product quality, and cost efficiency.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to foster collaboration and secure priority access to high‑demand products.
- Monitor market trends, industry changes, and potential risks to proactively adjust purchasing strategies.
- Identify and execute cost‑saving initiatives through supplier negotiations, alternative sourcing, and efficiency improvements.
- Analyze distributor error trends, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
- Audit local supplier pricing guides monthly to ensure competitive pricing and cost consistency across locations.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize logistics, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce waste.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding product availability, pricing updates, and supply‑chain disruptions.
- Communicate product attributes, availability, and pricing to sales and operations teams to support business objectives.
- Support the Director of Supply Chain in strategic planning, special projects, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure alignment with food safety regulations, sustainability initiatives, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building partnerships with internal and external partners, at all levels within the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects with accuracy.
- Strong sense of urgency and a “can‑do” attitude.
