Position Summary

The Principal Project Manager is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high-level and detailed project plans and ensure the scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders.
  • Identify and track key project milestones, base‑lining the critical path.
  • Proactively anticipate project risks and issues and ensure adequate mitigation is in place.
  • Review development estimates, seek clarification and verification as appropriate.
  • Maintain all systems of record for project reporting; direct and monitor work efforts regularly.
  • Implement effective change‑control procedures to maintain control on scope, schedule, and cost.
  • Reflect project budgets, forecasts, and actuals accurately.
  • Monitor and communicate project progress, ensuring timely and effective status updates on cost, forecast, schedule, and risks/issues.
  • Manage project costs, resources, change requests, risks, and issues to maintain maximum business benefits.
  • Work with business analysts/partners to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
  • Negotiate and influence cross‑functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels throughout the project life cycle.
  • Lead and work with cross‑functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Oversee end‑to‑end testing resources and facilitate post‑implementation reviews, capturing lessons learned.
  • Develop domain knowledge of the organization’s businesses, including short‑term and long‑term strategies.
  • Build and maintain business relationships, cultivating trust and integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with organization policies, processes, and practices.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications and Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent;
    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 7 years of driving projects from end to end.
  • Prior relevant IT and business work experience in a functional domain.
  • Financial acumen to represent project financials.
  • PMI or equivalent Project Management certification (e.g., Certified Associate in Project Management, Certified Project Management Practitioner, International Project Management Association).
  • Experience with Business Objects, Net Suite, FiServ or similar systems is preferred.
  • Strong collaborative working practices with the ability to manage and coordinate cross‑functional teams (both IT and business).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V‑Lookup, H‑Lookup, concatenating formulas, conditional formatting, and pivot tables.

Work Environment and

Physical Requirements
  • On‑site at the assigned office location.
  • Regular and punctual attendance, with flexibility for occasional adjusted schedules, overtime, evenings, and weekends.
