Reno Project Analyst I

The Reno Project Analyst I works closely with the homeowner, contractor, and internal stakeholders from start to finish ensuring the renovation and escrow holdback project file has all required documents with focus on FHA 203(k), FNMA Homestyle, VA, and FHLMC Choice Renovation. They determine project eligibility and provides outstanding customer service to homeowners and contractors. The Reno Project Analyst I reviews and approves disbursement requests based on the Company's agency/investor guidelines and is expected to manage multiple files and maintain an active pipeline.

Principal Duties:

  • Reviews and analyzes all renovation and escrow holdback documents submitted on behalf of the renovation project to ensure it meets the Company's underwriting and investor (FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA) guideline requirements.
  • Tracks and records progress of each renovation and escrow holdback project. Effectively communicates requirements to all parties of a transaction, both internal and external.
  • Manages multi-state loan pipeline, coordinates pipeline management with internal stakeholders.
  • Advises and assists Accounting, QC, Government Insuring, and other internal business partners with project-related inquiries.
  • Determines project eligibility based on the Company's agency/investor guidelines.
  • Reviews and approves disbursements requests based on the Company's agency/investor guidelines.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.
  • Reviews all applicable project requirements to ensure regulatory/state permitting laws are followed.
  • Responds to customer inquiries received from both the inbound phone line and department email inbox.
  • Performs account reconciliation to ensure balances reflect accurate within all systems of records.
  • Researches and confirms escrow holdback funds balance and are appropriately disbursed.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Bachelor's degree (Business/Finance/Accounting), preferred.
  • 2 years' mortgage loan life-cycle experience; &/or 1 year Conventional/Government renovation project review experience.

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral & written communication skills including Microsoft Office & SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritize & time manage efficiently & effectively; strong analytical skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment.
  • Ability to work autonomously under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent customer service orientation.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and grasp new concepts with minimal guidance.
  • FHA 203(k) &/or Home Style Renovation processing experience highly preferred.
