AI Business & Operations, Product Manager
POSITION TITLE:
Lead Product Manager (AI Audit Solutions) LOCATON:
Hybrid role (Coppell/Dallas TX area preferred; Houston TX; or Austin TX) COMPENSATION: $107,000–$185,000 base (+ performance-based bonus and benefits)
Korn Ferry has partnered with our client, a global leader providing critical AI-powered workflow platforms and expert-curated databases, in their professional search for this Associate Director role. Their services (which include professional information solutions, software and services) have international reach across the healthcare, tax / accounting, financial and corporate compliance, legal / regulatory, and corporate performance and ESG sectors.
The Lead Product Manager will own and scale AI-enabled audit and tax products within a rapidly evolving product organization. This is a builder-oriented role focused on creating and commercializing new products—not maintaining legacy systems.
This individual will operate as the product leader within a small, embedded cross-functional pod consisting of Product, Engineering, UX, and audit/tax domain experts. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, moves quickly from strategy to execution, and brings strong commercial instincts to launch AI-driven B2B SaaS solutions that customers adopt and value.
- Define and drive product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-enabled audit and tax solutions.
- Lead new product development from concept through launch and scale.
- Establish clear success metrics tied to customer adoption, revenue, retention, and business outcomes.
- Make high-impact tradeoffs across speed, quality, customer value, and long-term product strategy.
- Lead end-to-end product launches, including positioning, pricing, packaging, and adoption strategy.
- Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive revenue and market traction.
- Support sales readiness through enablement materials, product demos, and client-facing engagements.
- Serve as a product evangelist in customer conversations, webinars, conferences, and executive briefings.
- Translate strategy into actionable requirements, product specifications, and measurable outcomes.
- Work daily with Engineering and UX in an integrated pod model to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Drive alignment across Product, Design, Engineering, domain experts, and commercial stakeholders.
- Operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple concurrent priorities and evolving requirements.
- Engage directly with customers to understand audit/tax workflows, pain points, and unmet needs.
- Use data, research, customer feedback, and product analytics to validate hypotheses and guide decisions.
- Continuously iterate based on real-world usage, adoption metrics, customer outcomes, and market feedback.
- Identify opportunities to leverage AI, including LLMs and agentic workflows, to improve audit and tax workflows.
- Partner with Engineering to design responsible, explainable, and commercially meaningful AI capabilities.
- Translate emerging AI trends into practical product innovations that improve customer productivity, quality, and confidence.
- Balance innovation with governance, human oversight, auditability, and customer trust.
- Function as the product leader within a small, embedded product pod consisting of one Product Manager, one expert practitioner, Engineering, and UX.
- Ensure tight collaboration and shared accountability across pod members.
- Avoid siloed execution by driving fully integrated strategy, delivery, launch, and customer feedback loops.
- 8+ years of Product Management experience or equivalent builder experience, such as a startup founder background.
- Proven track record launching and commercializing B2B products.
- Strong fundamentals in product strategy, execution, customer discovery, and go-to-market.
- Experience partnering closely with Engineering and UX teams in agile or pod-based environments.
- Comfort operating in ambiguity and fast-paced, startup-like environments.
- Strong business acumen, ownership mindset, and ability to make commercially sound product decisions.
- Customer-facing confidence with strong written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
- PREFERRED:
Experience in AI-first, data-driven, or automation-heavy product environments; familiarity with AI/ML technologies, including LLM capabilities, limitations, and responsible AI considerations. Experience in B2B SaaS, especially in startup, scale-up, or high-growth product organizations.
