Job Description

Established in 1977, Schwob Building Company has continued to bring successful services to our clients in the automotive, aviation, warehouse/distribution, manufacturing, trucking/transportation and service and maintenance industries. By specializing in these niche areas of design, bid and construction, we are better able to understand our clients’ needs and operational goals.

We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager . Commercial construction experience is required and a positive, innovative, teamwork attitude is a must
. Only qualified candidates in the commercial construction industry will be considered.

Requirements

  • Formal education in construction or engineering with a strong technical knowledge is expected and field experience is a great asset.
  • At least 5 years experience as a Project Manager with a General Contractor.
  • Ability to read and understand construction documents including project plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
  • Clear understanding of the documentation and processes between the owner, architect and contractor.
  • Clear understanding of commercial construction means and methods.
  • Strong communication skills & leadership ability.
  • Must be computer literate, preferring experience with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore and other construction related software.

Performance Objectives

  • Delivery of quality project that is completed on time, within budget, maintaining all safety protocols with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Mentoring assistant project managers and educating them on how to become a project manager - measured in the annual review process.
  • Mastery of our “state of the art” technology system and continuing education – taking classes on safety, latest construction guidelines, etc.
  • Maintaining and cultivating sub-contractor relationships.
