Job Description- Lead CMAR estimating from conceptual design through GMP.
- Prepare detailed quantity take‑offs, cost models, and estimates.
- Collaborate with owners, architects, and engineers during preconstruction.
- Analyze subcontractor bids and ensure full scope alignment.
- Provide value engineering and cost optimization recommendations.
- Develop contingencies, escalation, and risk assessments.
- Support handoff from preconstruction to construction teams.
- Mentor and support junior estimators as needed.

The Successful Applicant- Proven expertise in CMAR and negotiated project estimation, particularly in higher education construction.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical documents.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills to develop accurate cost estimates.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Commitment to delivering high‑quality results within deadlines.
- 8+ years of construction estimating experience.
- CMAR experience required.
- Public‑sector estimating background, including:
- K‑12 education
- Higher education
- Healthcare
- Municipal
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Annual salary ranging from $109,600 to $154,300, depending on experience.
