Part Time Classroom Support Assistant

PAY SCHEDULE / GRADE:
Certified: $25/hr.;
Non-Certified: $15/hr.
Days Per Year based on needs/budget.

PRIMARY

PURPOSE:

Disclaimer: This position is part-time and is scheduled for 10 hours per week. Funds forthis position are expectedtobe available up to the end oftheschoolyear. Inadditiontoother specified conditionsofemployment,the applicantunderstandsthat no guaranteeofcontinued employment,beyondtheavailabilityof the  school year, is expressedorimplied by Coppell Independent School District.

Thepart-time classroom support assistantwillprovide instructional support incollaborationwith the classroom teacher and/or instructional coach to meet individual needs of learners.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated knowledge of bestinstructional practices
• Experience working with students
• Teachercredentials preferred

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

• Abilityto workwithall children
• Effective organization,communication , and interpersonal skills

EXPERIENCE:

• Experience workingwithschoolagedchildren preferred

MAJOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provideinstructionalsupportincollaboration withtheclassroomeducator and/or instructional coach to meet the individual needs of learners .
• Workone-on-oneorinsmallgroupswith learners.
• Communicatetheresultsofany assessmentsandgeneralobservations oflearnerstoeducators, counselor and school administrators as needed .
• Participate and/or communicate aspartoftheinstructional teamtoidentify learner progress and instructional needs.
• Usethetimeclocktotrackhours worked .

:

Maintain emotionalcontrol under stress. Frequent standing, stooping , bending , pullingandpushing . Move small stacks of textbooks , media equipment , desks , and other classroom equipment.
