Founded over 100 years ago, this organization is one of the largest employee-owned electrical contractors in the United States, with a proven track record on some of the most high-profile construction projects across the nation. As an employee stock ownership company (ESOP), every team member is a shareholder — creating a true sense of ownership and shared success. We are seeking a talented Engineer II to join our engineering team in a mid‑level role that bridges hands‑on technical work with team leadership. In this position, you will provide technical engineering information and support to senior engineers, ensuring that projects comply with all applicable requirements, codes, and specifications. Your day‑to‑day will include designing electrical systems, conducting studies, preparing specifications, and collaborating closely with architects, mechanical contractors, and clients.
You will also have the opportunity to lead projects of limited scope, overseeing junior engineers and designers assigned to your team. This role places you at the intersection of design and construction — attending project design team meetings, visiting job sites, and serving as the design group's representative during construction to ensure the operations team has the information they need for timely installation.
The ideal candidate is passionate about electrical engineering, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is eager to grow into greater responsibility. You will report to senior engineers while mentoring junior staff, making this an excellent stepping stone for those looking to develop both their technical expertise and leadership capabilities.
