Controls Automation Engineer

Hybrid (3 days onsite) Coppell, TX

• Bachelors or Masters in Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, or 3+ years of experience in control systems engineering, PLC programming
• Familiarity with Ladder Logic and Structured Text programming languages
• PLC Programming on Rockwell Platforms Studio 5000/RSLogix
  5000 is a must.
• Experience in programming material handling systems like conveyors, sorters, and MDRs
• Experience with schematics design in AutoCAD
• Ability to assist during equipment commissioning with wiring and installation occasionally
• Familiarity with commissioning VF Ds, PLCs, Remote, Barcode Scanners, and establishing communications via Ethernet IP, Device Net, and Profibus communication protocols
• Willingness to travel up to 30-40%

• Work with multiple cross-functional engineers to bring solutions from concept to reality
• Integrate conveyor control solutions, automated material handling equipment, and autonomous vehicles with cross-functional teams
• Create and maintain electrical schematic drawings
• Develop and debug control system software in ladder logic and ST
• Provide technical expertise in controls and electrical engineering
• Perform on-site commissioning support and necessary electrical field wiring when required.
