SummaryThe Customer Service Logistics Associate is responsible for delivering proactive, excellent customer service to assigned accounts, managing inbound and outbound shipment scheduling, invoice and billing documentation, and addressing inquiries and complaints regarding work orders, inventory and shipments.
Responsibilities- Maintain consistent contact and develop productive relationships with clients, vendors, agents, and industry partners.
- Act as a liaison between the warehouse and customers for operational needs, resolve discrepancies, and oversee all aspects of assigned orders, including order entry, transportation scheduling, communication, tracking, cancellations, and documentation.
- Maintain and adhere to company SOPs, quality‑assurance processes, and reporting requirements for customers and warehouse activities.
- Support onboarding for new customers, maintain damage and back‑order logs, and coordinate regulatory reporting as needed.
- Identify and recommend process improvements, support corporate billing accuracy, review and prepare billing when required.
- Maintain project KPI’s, recommend training and problem resolution, and provide customer reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in customer meetings and in developing department goals, methods, and procedures to enhance operations.
- High school diploma required; college degree or some college coursework highly preferred.
- Minimum 2years of direct experience in logistics, transportation, or a related industry, or completion of logistics and transportation courses.
- Knowledge of inventory management procedures, warehouse terminology, and general warehousing practices.
- Familiarity with warehouse and inventory management systems and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong mathematical and financial accounting skills; ability to perform data analysis and spreadsheet tracking.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to negotiate and resolve customer claims, and proficiency in managing multiple party communications using software technology.
- Time‑management and prioritization skills, ability to work independently and involve management proactively when deadlines require extensions.
- Strong teamwork, cooperation, and flexibility to work a non‑standard schedule.
The role requires regular standing, walking, and handling of materials up to 49pounds, use of hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and walking for extended periods. The employee must be able to climb ladders and tolerate moderate noise levels typically found in a warehouse setting.
