Corporate Controller (Salary Range: $,000 depending on experience)

LHH - Fully Onsite in Coppell, TX

LHH is seeking a Corporate Controller for a rapidly expanding retail and eCommerce business located in Coppell, TX. This fully on-site role will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and strategic insight to support the company’s growth trajectory.

In addition to 5–10 years of accounting experience with at least three years in a Controller or Assistant Controller role, the ideal candidate will have a CPA, prior experience in high-volume eCommerce or inventory-heavy businesses, and a strong background in GAAP, tax compliance, and financial controls. Responsibilities

• Oversee all core accounting functions including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and inventory accounting.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Produce GAAP-compliant financial statements and coordinate internal and external audits.
• Maintain robust internal controls and compliance procedures to safeguard company assets.
• Lead budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and long-range financial planning efforts.
• Manage and develop accounting team members, and collaborate with external accounting partners.
• Oversee integrations with ERP systems, tax platforms, and payment processing tools.

Client Requirements

• 5–10 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3+ years in a Controller or Assistant Controller position.
• CPA designation strongly preferred.
• Proven success in high-volume eCommerce or inventory-driven environments.
• Experience working within publicly traded companies.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, tax compliance, and financial control frameworks.
• Proficiency in accounting systems such as Quick Books Enterprise, Net Suite, or Acumatica, along with advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, discretion, and accountability.
• Bonus:
  Knowledge of the sporting goods or related industries.
