Special Loans Specialist; On-site

• Research servicing histories and set up of ARM, DSI, and modified loans, collect supporting documentation, and assist in preparing audit responses.
• Analyze exception reports and clear exceptions by researching and adjusting loans as necessary.
• Monitor the status of ARM loans; assist in resolving servicing transfer/loan setup; research ARM loan payment histories.
• Audit ARM Change Notifications prior to mailing.
• Perform document-to-data reviews to ensure proper servicing of various loan types and adherence to investor and regulatory guidelines.
• Review and process modification requests.
• Conduct special projects as assigned by Special Loans management.
• Calculate loan amortizations to correct posting errors by Shellpoint or previous servicers.
• Update loans through adjustments and payment reapplications to reflect proper accounting of all payments per department requests.
• Support management in achieving goals and improving the efficiency/productivity of the department.
• Complete miscellaneous tasks as necessary or required.
• Perform related duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 0-2 years’ experience in the mortgage industry.

• Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage documents, security instruments, and modification documents.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
