Senior Mortgage Consultant – Morgan Stanley Home Loans
Location:
Dallas, TX or Tempe, AZ.
As a Senior Mortgage Consultant, you will use industry knowledge to provide an excellent client experience across the mortgage origination cycle for Financial Advisors and their wealth management clients. You will focus on jumbo mortgages and complex income/asset situations.
Responsibilities- Build deep relationships with Financial Advisors and Personal Bankers.
- Provide expert advice and problem‑solving to meet client mortgage needs.
- Work within a team covering complex/branch level markets and grow share through referrals.
- Deliver best‑rate execution and proper product selection.
- Serve as the face of the business from referral to loan registration, ensuring compliance and quality.
- Follow up on referrals and complete accurate, compliant mortgage applications.
- Partner with Private Bankers to achieve growth targets.
- Maintain and follow up on a pipeline of client referrals.
- Analyze financial information to assess qualification and recommend suitable lending solutions.
- Participate in business partner events and office activities to promote the Home Loan team.
- Collaborate with the Mortgage Specialist Team for seamless loan application transfer.
- Manage inbound/outbound queue, call campaigns, and bank initiatives while maintaining client follow‑up.
- Apply knowledge of fair lending, privacy, RESPA, and TRID regulations.
- Obtain necessary documents for underwriting approval and negotiate product/pricing as needed.
- Provide feedback to enhance client experience and process efficiency.
- 4‑8 years private‑wealth experience (sales and/or operations).
- Client relationship management experience with a proven track record.
- Track record of meeting production goals in a large client base.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Eligible to register with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) and work for an FDIC‑insured institution.
- Extensive knowledge of mortgage products and client service.
- In‑depth knowledge of compliance regulations (fair lending, privacy, RESPA, TRID).
- Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self‑starter with strong ownership; adept at time management and prioritization.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to deliver high levels of client and advisor satisfaction.
- Skill in managing loan escalations and ensuring timely resolution.
- Competence in managing a pipeline of transactions.
