Description

Are you seeking a new position in the hotel industry where you can demonstrate your managerial abilities? Our busy hotel is looking for a banquet manager that is uncompromising in their commitment to client satisfaction and offering an excellent banquet event experience for our guests. You'll interact with guests directly to book banquet space and provide options that match their needs and budgets.

We require someone with exceptional leadership abilities to supervise banquet employees and ensure the best quality of hotel services. Responsibilities
  • Ensure a quality product is provided by communicating with clients about banquet event options that match their budget, and go over any adjustments, questions, or concerns
  • Strengthen a customer-focused banquet event department continuously by developing policies, procedures, quality standards, and cost-cutting measures
  • Coordinate the daily operations of the banquet area and ensure you are providing an exceptional level of service by purchasing supplies, managing event space set-up, and setting proper staffing levels for events
  • Document the outcome of each event to assess and make improvements on future events and processes
  • Communicate all event orders to on-site banquet staff members, so they are aware of their roles and obligations
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent with a degree in hospitality management preferred
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Must have a strong focus on putting the guest first with exceptional customer service experience
  • At least 3 years in a supervisory role in hospitality or food service
  • Proficient in computer skills, especially MS Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint)
Compensation

$55,000 - $60,000
