About the Role
The Area Sales Manager owns new‑logo growth and expansion across the DFW metro (Coppell-based). You’ll prospect, qualify, and close recurring managed services (MRR), cybersecurity bundles, and project services. You partner closely with vCIO/engineering for solutioning, ensure clean handoffs to service delivery, and cultivate long‑term client relationships.
Responsibilities
- Territory strategy: Build and execute a DFW plan to meet/exceed quarterly and annual revenue targets.
- Pipeline generation: Prospect via outbound, events, partners, referrals, and Linked In; maintain ~3–4× coverage vs. quota.
- Discovery & solution mapping: Translate business pain into ACTAmsp offerings (MSP, help desk, cloud/M365/Azure, backup/DR, security stack).
- Proposals & SOWs: Lead pricing for MRR and projects; present value stories and demos with technical SMEs.
- Negotiation & close: Navigate procurement and legal to signature (MSA/SOW).
- Onboarding & expansion: Coordinate handoff to delivery/vCIO; drive upsell/cross-sell for security and projects.
- Forecasting & CRM: Maintain accurate stages, notes, and next steps; report weekly forecast and activity metrics.
- Market presence: Represent ACTAmsp at local business groups, chambers, and industry events; support marketing campaigns and case studies.
Qualifications
Required
- 3–5+ years of full‑cycle B2B technology sales (ideally MSP/IT services or cybersecurity) with recurring revenue models.
- Proven track record against MRR/ARR quota; strong discovery, ROI/value selling, and negotiation skills.
- Comfortable selling to owners/C‑suite and IT leaders at SMB/mid‑market; public sector exposure a plus.
- Proficiency with a modern CRM (Hub Spot/Salesforce/Connect Wise) and structured sales process.
- Valid driver’s license; intra‑DFW travel (up to ~40%).
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365/Azure, managed security (EDR/MDR, email security), networking, backup/DR, and compliance‑aware environments.
- Experience with co‑managed IT or vCIO‑led roadmap selling.
- Existing DFW network across verticals (professional services, healthcare, manufacturing, nonprofit, construction, municipal).
