This role is crucial for ensuring the effective and secure management of Mac Book devices, which are commonly used in organizations for productivity and daily tasks. The combination of skills in macOS, Microsoft Intune, and Jamf Pro positions the engineer to be a key contributor to the organization's IT infrastructure. We are looking for candidates who have been engineers and have experience in secure deployment, configuration, and management of Mac Book devices within the organization.
Must have implemented and managed Microsoft Intune for macOS devices to enforce security policies, software deployment, and remote device management.
Possible CTH. End of the Year contract-will be extended.
We are seeking a skilled Mac Book Engineer with expertise in managing macOS devices using Microsoft Intune and Jamf Pro. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and secure deployment, configuration, and management of Mac Book devices within our organization. This role involves collaborating with IT teams, providing technical support, and staying updated on industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities Mac Book Management- Deploy, configure, and maintain Mac Book devices across the organization.
- Ensure macOS devices are up to date with the latest operating system and software patches.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on Mac Book devices.
- Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for macOS devices to enforce security policies, software deployment, and remote device management.
- Create and maintain device profiles, compliance policies, and conditional access rules.
- Administer the Jamf Pro platform for macOS device management, including policy creation, package deployment, and inventory management.
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts using Jamf Pro's scripting capabilities.
- Enforce security best practices for macOS devices, including encryption, firewall configurations, and application whitelisting.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations.
- Create and maintain documentation related to Mac Book management processes and procedures.
- Train end-users and IT staff on macOS device usage and best practices.
- Collaborate with vendors to evaluate and procure hardware and software solutions for macOS devices.
- Manage software licenses and subscriptions related to macOS applications.
- Keep up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies related to macOS device management, security, and productivity tools.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in managing and supporting Mac Book devices within an enterprise environment.
- Strong proficiency in macOS, including configuration, troubleshooting, and scripting.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Intune and its application to macOS device management.
- Proficiency in administering Jamf Pro for macOS device management.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for macOS devices.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Certifications in macOS, Microsoft Intune, and Jamf are a plus.
