Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator will work in a collaborative environment to fulfill all purchasing needs for the National Account work orders and assist branches as needed. This includes interfacing with internal teams, such as the Proposal Team, as well as suppliers and freight companies. To succeed in this role, the Logistics Coordinator should be highly organized and able to perform multiple tasks for different accounts simultaneously.

Functions
  • Build and maintain operational relationships with branches, partners, and equipment vendors.
  • Communicate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams over purchase orders and logistics.
  • Use trained judgment to prepare purchase orders, update sales orders, and receipt invoices.
  • Create, update, and manage internal systems with relevant order and inventory information.
  • Assist SCOM with inventory operations by reviewing reports and verifying current stock levels.
  • Coordinate freight and gather quotes to support sales and stock transfers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and resolve order discrepancies to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Support process improvements by identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions.
  • Respond to requests promptly, typically within an hour or the same business day.

  • Possesses strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and logistics processes in both office and warehouse environments.
  • Demonstrates advanced skill in using Microsoft Excel and order tracking tools to support operational efficiency.
  • Applies excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Utilizes strong organizational skills and the ability to make sound decisions quickly, especially in high-pressure situations.
  • Shows the ability to work collaboratively with others while maintaining a consistently positive and professional attitude.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • In office environment, not a WFH position
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Walking office to facilitate verbal communication concerning related job functions
  • Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times
Business Travel
  • This job requires no planned business travel.
Education and Experience
  • High School graduation or equivalent is required. Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred, not required.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel preferred.
