Operations Manager

NXTPoint Logistics delivers end‑to‑end supply chain solutions covering distribution, warehousing, fulfillment, managed logistics, transportation, and final‑mile delivery. The Logistics Operations Manager oversees overall performance of office and warehouse operations, customer relations, information technology, quality, and security. The role is accountable for meeting productivity standards, cost control goals, and company objectives.

• Coordinate and supervise all freight traffic functions into and out of the warehouse(s), maintaining service levels while minimizing costs.
• Train and supervise employees to meet departmental and company objectives.
• Interface with Transportation Operations to resolve scheduling and dispatch issues.
• Develop and implement warehousing policies and programs that meet cost, service, and production objectives.
• Improve warehousing/transportation functions through program recommendations.
• Ensure freight claims are processed and collected promptly.
• Forecast, analyze costs, equipment availability and service levels; recommend and implement corrective actions.
• Establish and measure KPIs for on‑time, in‑full delivery, shipping costs, inventory management, productivity, quality and workforce planning.
• Investigate root causes of transportation, logistics and warehousing complaints; lead corrective action.
• Maintain fiscal budgets and enforce management within budgetary guidelines.
• Provide senior management with periodic performance reports.
• Direct staff to support strategic customer service objectives and enhance team skills.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, transportation, business or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of direct experience in a similar industry.
• Strong leadership, problem‑solving, motivation, communication, innovation and planning skills.
• Experience building, executing and managing vendor strategy through KPIs and audit mechanisms.
• Cross‑functional collaboration with engineering, sales, operations and stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to manage complex, ambiguous environments.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proficiency in MS Office Suite and advanced Excel.
• Working knowledge of warehouse and transportation management systems (WMS).
• Financial acumen, budgeting experience and familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of transportation and warehouse regulations.
• Inspections, quality, quantity, cost and efficiency monitoring of logistics networks.

• Minimal travel required.
• No supervisory authority beyond direct reporting lines.
• Work environment: warehouse, moderate noise, standing & walking limited to < 33% of shift.
• Physical demands: lift up to 10pounds occasionally, use hands extensively, occasional reaching with arms.
• Special vision: close vision required; adjust focus as needed.
