Summary:

The purpose of this position is to supervise all Fabrication operational personnel. Manage best utilization of labor to meet defined performance targets, quality standards, and business service policies assuring customer ship date commitments. Collaborate with Facility Operations Manager to evaluate Fabrication business conditions, special processing request, and relative service request that supports business growth within the serviced region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

* Demonstrate the ability to perform all job functions of all fabrication and positions.

* Develop facility capability to fabricate standard & custom hardware applications.

* Coordinates incoming and outgoing fabricated orders to ensure accuracy, completeness, and special hardware requirements with the Facility Take-Off Technician.

* Review fabrication schedule & resources with Lead Fabricator Daily

* Communicate and release fabrication shop packets to lead fabricator to execute on timely basis.

* Communicate daily status and confirm completion dates to provide coordination with Warehouse/Shipping Supervisor.

* Process orders for special/custom hardware.

* Audit quality of work performed to verify conformance to specifications.

* Directs work force and administer compliance of policies, procedures, and work standards.

* Interprets specifications, templates, and job orders for workforce.

* Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules and productivity goals.

* Supervise inventory control factors for accuracy/cycle targeted requirement levels.

* Achieving and maintaining housekeeping standards in plant, conducive to a safe & orderly work environment.

* Maintains compliance with all company safety procedures and guidelines.

* Maintains equipment conditions to levels required for process efficiency & safety.

* Promote a diverse work culture built on fairness, open door policy and positive reinforcement.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages 2 or more employees in the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education/Experience/

Skills:

* High School Diploma or GED required;
Associate's or Technical Degree in a manufacturing or industrial-related field preferred

* 4-6 years of experience in fabrication or shipping/receiving operations required

* Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required

* Valid forklift certification required, with the ability to safely operate equipment

* Proficient in basic computer applications and electronic scanning devices

* Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions

* Ability to read and interpret measurements, including the use of a tape measure

* Experience using hand tools, machinery, and related equipment in an industrial setting

* Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions accurately

* Knowledge of welding processes

* Strong attention to detail with the ability to distinguish between product profiles and finishes

* Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety protocols

* Quality-driven mindset with a focus on accuracy and operational excellence

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and is expected to use proper lifting techniques at all times. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit.

The employee may occasionally be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
