About Vesto

Vesto develops the first industrial recycling process for restaurant equipment!

Today, nearly 30,000 tons of equipment go to scrap each year due to lack of solutions to give it a second life, and this is the problem that Vesto tackles by taking over and refurbishing this equipment in its recycling center in Compans.

At the end of this process, the equipment is ready for a new start which allows restaurateurs to limit their environmental impact while equipping themselves at a lower cost.

Vesto's objective? To become an industrial group of circularity and make recycling a reflex for all professionals.

Vesto's strengths? An industrial DNA supported by tech tools developed in-house, all carried by an ambitious team that is shaking up a traditional market.

Job Description Overview of the Methods Division

Today's large industries are exclusively based on a linear system: extract > produce > discard. Few industries are truly circular today. In this world that has industrialized waste, our ambition is to create one of the first industrial second-hand industries.

We have been operating in a 7,000 m² building for two years and continue to evolve it to meet our growing needs.

Our process consists of several key steps that together form our "flow":

  • Recycling of used equipment: disassembly and transportation of used equipment to our factory.

  • Pre-diagnosis and sale: quick diagnosis of the machine to determine if it is refurbishable, then recovery of information and documentation before putting it on sale on our website.

  • Technical refurbishment: diagnosis, replacement of spare parts, testing and quality control.

  • Cosmetic refurbishment: beauty and deep cleaning of the equipment.

  • Delivery, installation and after-sales service.

  • The objective of the methods division at VESTO is to bring the methodologies of industry and lean into our business of refurbishing professional equipment.

The key word: Make sure we work better every day.

Every day, we work on three axes:

    • Volume: Do more, without doing less well.

    • Quality: Do better, without doing less.

    • Safety: Maximize the safety and comfort of the teams.

    Your Main Missions

In close collaboration with our methods reference, the production director and the production teams, your role will be to participate in the implementation of continuous improvements and projects to facilitate and optimize the work of the teams.

    Potential projects of the internship:

    • Standardize the repair or cleaning steps (control points, parts/tools used, tests performed).

    • Standardize the methods of sorting, inventory and storage of second-hand parts/accessories.

    • Work on the implementation and work of new repair and cleaning stations.

    • Integrate new types of equipment into our industrial process.

    • Bring continuous improvements to the daily work for the teams (signage, modification of our processes, data and interfaces, purchase of adapted tools and equipment).

Every day, your missions will be:

    • Conduct investigations to define the root causes of prioritized issues with the methods reference and the production director.

      • Digital investigations: based on our data.
      • Field investigations: by getting involved in the daily life of the production teams.
    • Propose, but especially collect from the field teams possible solutions to the problems raised.

    • Participate in the implementation of the solutions (whether they are material or digital).

    • Train the field teams on the implemented solutions.

Through projects and missions, you will learn to:

    • Analyze and interpret data to provide concrete and useful solutions.

    • Manage projects of several days, then weeks, then months.

    • Understand the implications of operational work in the factory.

    • Coordinate operational teams around concrete projects.

    • Discover the diversity and functioning of professional equipment (laundry, cooking, refrigeration, food preparation, tools, and more).

    Profile Sought
    • You are curious and you like to understand how things work.

    • You are resourceful and like to learn new skills.

    • You are skilled with your hands, but also comfortable with digital tools.

    • You enjoy contact and have excellent interpersonal skills with all types of profiles.

    • You are meticulous and organized.

    • You have an engineering degree or equivalent.

    • You have a taste for adventure and want to give meaning to your work. You are smiling and passionate.
