What is the opportunity? Respond with Compassionate ActionWe are seeking Customer Service Associate to join our Operation Christmas Child team in Coppell, TX. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In the role of Customer Service Associate, you will have the opportunity to:
- Work side by side with employees and volunteers to take the love of Jesus to children all around the world
- Play an integral part in the processing of over 12 million shoebox gifts
- Welcome, equip, and coach thousands of volunteers to process OCC shoebox gifts
As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:
- Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Volunteer management experience preferred
- Other duties as assigned
Welcome, train, and coach volunteers to process shoebox gifts in accordance with OCC guidelines. Ensure a fun, productive, and memorable experience for each volunteer.
Greeter TeamGreet and register volunteers serving using the volunteer management system. Answer questions and orient volunteers to the OCC processing center.
Floor CoordinatorWork with Volunteer Placers to greet, direct, and place volunteer groups at open OCC processing tables.
Gifts-In-Kind TeamDocument Gifts-In-Kind donations and ensure adequate supply and delivery of GIK inventory. Train, coach, and supervise volunteers who serve in the GIK projects area.
Gear StorePromote and facilitate the accurate sale of Samaritan's Purse and Operation Christmas Child branded merchandise through an automated transaction system. Maintain accurate inventory counts and financial reports.
Parking TeamGreet and direct all OCC volunteers and donors to appropriate parking spaces or drop-off locations. Answer volunteer questions and thank all volunteers and donors leaving the processing center.
Drop-off CoordinatorReceive and document shoebox donations. Represent OCC in a Christ-like manner and pray with shoebox donors.
Volunteer PlacerWork with Floor Coordinator to greet and place volunteers at open OCC processing tables.
