Green Light Distribution is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and proactive individual who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are driven to excel. The Inside Sales Representative plays a crucial role in the furthering of sales of the organization by expanding active buying accounts. This position involves cold calling and managing buying and non-buying accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities.
Responsibilities- Manage an assigned portfolio of retail accounts through consistent outbound and inbound telephone communication.
- Proactively contact customers to generate orders and achieve weekly, monthly, and annual sales objectives.
- Develop strong working relationships with retail buyers, owners, managers, and purchasing personnel.
- Identify opportunities to increase sales through new products, additional placements, expanded distribution, and increased order frequency.
- Introduce customers to new brands, new products, seasonal offerings, promotions, and priority items.
- Recommend products based on each customer's business, consumer base, sales history, and purchasing patterns.
- Reactivate inactive or declining accounts through targeted outbound sales efforts.
- Maintain a consistent call schedule and ensure high-quality account coverage.
- Meet or exceed established sales, revenue, volume, and activity targets.
- 1–3+ years of experience in tele-sales, inside sales, outside sales, account management, customer service, or business-to-business sales.
- Experience making high-volume outbound sales calls and consistently meeting or exceeding sales goals.
- Experience managing a portfolio of customers or business accounts and developing long-term customer relationships.
- Experience in beverage distribution, wine & spirits, beer, CPG, food distribution, hospitality, or retail is strongly preferred.
- Experience selling to liquor stores, convenience stores, restaurants, bars, clubs, grocery stores, or other retail accounts is a plus.
- Experience with order entry, CRM systems, customer databases, or sales management software.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell, cross-sell, introduce new products, reactivate inactive customers, and increase account revenue.
- Experience working in a quota-driven, commission-based, or performance-oriented sales environment.
- Previous experience with a beverage distributor or supplier.
- All candidates must successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment background screening, which includes review of criminal history, motor vehicle records, and a drug screening.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
