Description

- The individual will learn to instruct in first aid, CPR, AED, and workplace violence, with potential for instructor certification.
- Daily tasks primarily involve administration, site outreach, record maintenance, and training.
The Corporate Security Specialist is a senior, experienced security professional that is responsible for safeguarding company employees, assets, property, and guests to its facilities. They must observe and report all situations and circumstances that risk the safety and security of people, property, and information. They respond to emergencies and provide assistance or take actions appropriate to the crisis. This role works closely with Business Continuity and plays a pivotal role in monitoring signs of natural disasters and other threats that could cause significant business disruptions, as well as providing a response to safeguard people and assets, and assist with recovery.

This individual also supports the facilities team as needed. Corporate Security Specialists are expected to sometimes travel from their assigned location to perform security assessments at other locations, support company conferences with on-site life-safety and security support and are trained and ready to perform executive support and instructor services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions:
Managing all visitor access control, deliveries, mail as needed.
Ensuring all employees, guests and visitors are practicing access control policies.
Conducting regular virtual and physical patrols, checks and inspections to ensure building safety and security.
Regularly inspect and maintain all on-site security, safety, and medical resources.
Perform routine testing, in addition to utilizing system health-monitoring software, to ensure security equipment is functioning properly.
Provide guidance and assistance to service providers and internal technicians upon alarm/CCTV system installation or completion of repair work to ensure system integrity; includes the initial configuration and setup of new security systems.
Escalating facility issues or dangerous or suspicious activities.
Monitoring CCTV for all locations and coordinating with other security team members as needed to investigate or resolve issues.
Manage Access Control by monitoring and responding adequately to physical access alarms, systematically defining access levels, and issuing identification badges.
Conduct security escort of employees and guests as needed.
Conduct daily video footage reviews to detect criminal activity and other violations.
Field requests through the company's ticketing system, and other workflow systems that require security involvement.
Respond to emergencies, intrusions, and disorders.
Act as the direct conduit to emergency responders.
Cooperate and coordinate with Law Enforcement and corporate management in on-going investigations and corporate activities, by providing video and other requested data.
Provide security and safety monitoring for employees while on business travel.
Conduct security assessments/surveys of hotels and other venues used for company events/functions.
Conduct periodic vulnerability assessments on company buildings and facilities.
Produce various reports and metrics related to security operations.
Support the Security, BCP and Facilities team as needed.
Maintain CPR/AED/First Aid/Advanced Bleed Control/Blood Borne Pathogen Instructor credentials and provide medical training to employees and other team members.
Maintain emergency response instructor credentials and provide training for employees and other team members.
Lead event security efforts and coordinate with the Events team to provide off-site event security at company functions and events, in addition to providing Executive Services as needed.
