Embedded Software Engineer (Linux focused)

What you will be doing- Design and develop embedded firmware for IoT devices, writing, testing, and debugging code at the application and driver levels.
- Configure and manage embedded Linux systems (file systems, kernel, networking, logs, security).
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration of firmware with device hardware.
- Implement communication protocols to enable efficient device and peripheral connectivity.
- Create comprehensive documentation related to firmware design and maintenance.
- Conduct testing and validation to ensure reliability, security, and performance of the firmware.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with SoC and microcontroller programming (ARM Cortex‑M, Cortex‑A, RTOS, bare‑metal).
- Ability to debug and triage issues with board‑level communication protocols (I2C, SMBus, SPI, USB, UART).
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Linux bash scripting;
Python and C# a plus. - Linux kernel configuration and cross‑compilation using mmdebstrap, Yocto, Buildroot.
- Experience with u‑Boot, Linux device tree, network configuration, kernel patching, Debian package development and administration.
