* POSITION SUMMARY:

** The Principal Cloud Data Engineer is a hands-on role and will liaise with product org and PO/PM to design, build and maintain reliable, scalable data products/data pipelines and core data platform components that power analytics, ML, and applications. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality data across the organization.

* DESCRIPTION:

**** Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities
*** Design, build, and maintain high-throughput data pipelines and ingestion workflows.
* Implement transformation logic, data quality checks, and governance frameworks.
* Collaborate with platform architecture and product teams to support the foundational data platform roadmap.
* Optimize data flows for performance, cost, and reliability.
* Monitor platform health and troubleshoot ingestion or processing issues.
* Build reusable components that scale across markets and business units.
* Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
* Performs related duties as assigned by management.
** Qualifications and

Education Requirements:

*** 7+ years of data engineering/ development experience.
* Strong hands-on skills with Python, SQL, Spark, or cloud-native data processing tools.
* Experience with data lakes, lake houses, or cloud-based warehouses.
* Knowledge of data quality, metadata, lineage, and governance frameworks.
* Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

** Work Environment and

Physical Requirements:

*** Working on-site at assigned office location.
* Regular and punctual attendance adhering to schedule established by leadership.
* Flexibility to work occasional adjusted work schedules, overtime, and evening and/or weekend hours to meet deadlines or as business needs demand.
* Working in a cubicle hub, maintaining focus on phone calls in a noisy environment within earshot of multiple other conversations.
* Sedentary work in a stationary position at a cubicle for prolonged periods of time.
* Constant repetitive motions required for operating a computer, such as typing and managing phone calls.
* Constantly communicating effectively verbally in English, including accurately exchanging information with others following identification of correct procedures.
