Experienced, multi-stop Class A CDL Driver

Position Overview

C&S Wholesale Grocers desires to create the most safe, efficient, and service-forward fleet in the country. As a Professional Driver with C&S Wholesale Grocers, you will start your driving career with the company by working with a Professional Driver Trainer (PDT) who will provide coaching and insight on the C&S Way, which includes company and regulatory requirements. Once you have successfully completed our new hire training program, you will maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through deliveries of product and services while performing all other assigned duties.

All functions must be completed in a safe and timely manner and in accordance with the Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Reimbursement

• Operate a Commercial Motor Vehicle (semi-truck, eighteen-wheeler, box truck, etc.) to transport and safely deliver product.
• Load and unload ambient or temperature-sensitive product to customers, averaging 3 to 10 stops per day.
• Inspect, document, and ensure equipment is operable in compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

• Store:
  Freezer (-20°F to 0°F)
• Warehouse:
  Perishable (28°F to 60°F)
• Warehouse:
  Grocery (50°F to 90°F)

• DOT Certified, Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid Department of Transportation Physical Exam.

• Minimum 1 year recent tractor‑trailer experience.
• Experience supporting a large enterprise storage environment.
• One year of recent applicable CMV experience or completion of a company‑approved CDL truck‑driving school.
• Attendance, initiative, productivity, quality, safety, and values.
• Quality and customer‑service focused.
• Compliance with FMCSR/DOT/company policies and procedures.
