Position Description
Ryder is hiring a Casual Part‑Time Class A CDL Truck Driver in Coppell, TX. Weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.
Pay & Schedule- Pay: $0.60 per mile
- Stops: $25.00 per stop
- Paid training
- Schedule:
Casual/Part‑Time, varies based on demand (6:00 PM – 7:00 PM)
- Deliver SOLO to within Texas
- Route:
Varies - Tractor type:
Day cab - Trailer type: 2 × 26′ demountable trailers
- Freight:
No‑touch freight (furniture)
- Uniforms, cell phone & boot allowance provided
- Drivers have safety decision autonomy; protected by company policies

Requirements- Minimum 21 years of age
- Pass a Ryder drug test
- Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
- Have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
- 9 months experience within the past 3 years, or
- 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, or
- 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
Some positions require additional screening including employment/education verification, motor vehicle records check, road test, and/or customer background requirements.
Responsibilities- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules, standards, and guidelines
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
- Perform other duties as assigned
