Job Profile
Summary:
Supports import and export operations, including shipment logistics, documentation, and customer service.
MajorDuties and Responsibilities:
- Conducts audits to verify physical shipments accuracy using bills of lading, invoices, and other documents.
- Identifies and records any discrepancies.
- Prepares, distributes or processes documentation to ensure required documents are in place and correct.
- Coordinates and communicates with customers, agents, vendors, and shippers to maintain process flows and resolve issues.
- Performs data entry of shipping and cargo details into systems following required procedures.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of related experience
- Attention to detail, good time management and ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office - Excel, PowerPoint, & Word.
- General knowledge of the harmonized tariff schedule.
- General knowledge of customs and participating government agency regulations.
- Proficiency in English, including the ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend
English, isrequiredfor this position.
Education:
- Experience with Cargo Wise One, preferably the Import Brokerage module.
- Cargo Wise Certified Operator (CCO) certification.
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) designation
- Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
- Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
- The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
