Forklift Operator, Material Handler
Overview
The Forklift Operator oversees loading and unloading of materials using hand trucks, reach trucks, or forklifts. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and safe work environment, identifying discrepancies in receiving loads against manifests, and ensuring all work is performed accurately and efficiently.
Responsibilities- Utilize manifest to pull route, stage freight, and assist drivers to load and unload trucks.
- Perform material handling tasks such as picking, packing, scanning, kitting (if applicable), counting products, and other related duties.
- Ensure timeliness, quality packaging, and system work is completed accurately.
- Identify and annotate overages, shortages, and damages (OS&D).
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, including forklift, pallet jacks, and related tools.
- Read and follow detailed instructions in a fast‑paced environment.
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment in compliance with TSA and OSHA guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous warehouse experience preferred (minimum 1 year).
- Proficiency in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and banding/shrink wrap materials.
- Experience using an RF scan gun required.
- Previous forklift certifications preferred.
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends as needed.
- Strong reading and comprehension skills for work instructions.
- Ability to work well with others with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail.
- Capacity to lift 50+ lbs unassisted.
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
This position requires standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, bending, and lifting objects above the head for extended periods. Employees must regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and use pallet jacks and forklifts.

$18.00 – $19.00 hourly. The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. Pay will be determined in accordance with all applicable laws.
