Overview
Special Education IEP Clerk Essential Functions and Abilities Expected:
Expectations for a Special Education IEP Clerk
- Assist in the efficient management of records, and data for the Special Education
- Regular and punctual attendance, 5 days per week, at least 8 hours per day beginning at 7:30 am
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Communicate calmly and professionally with parents, co-workers, and campus administrators and staff
- Ability to manage multiple electronic calendars
- Understanding of interface between multiple software systems
- Make and receive phone calls, take reliable messages, answer basic questions, route to the appropriate staff, and provide exceptional customer service
- Create ARD invitations in eSped and send to the appropriate parents/guardians in the mail and via email
- Create calendar invites and send ARD invitations via email to the appropriate staff for ARDs
- Compile, maintain, and archive all records and other documentation, as required in eSped
- Maintain confidentiality
- Ability to communicate (verbal and written) and maintain emotional control under stress
- Reading; ability to perform arithmetic calculations and operate a school issued computer
- Sitting or standing at a desk for up to 7.5 hours with limited breaks
- Remaining engaged and alert for the entire workday
- Ability to multitask and accept new work tasks as they are assigned
- Repetitive hand motions; prolonged use of the computer
- Mindful of aesthetics, organization, and function of the space that is provided for work
- Effectively and appropriately communicate with supervisor
