Purpose:
Coordinate Title 1 parent involvement and community activities on the school campus.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma
Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities and Duties:
Coordinate parent involvement activities.
Coordinate with community agencies.
Recruit parent and community volunteers for campus activities.
Complies with federal and state requirements regarding parent involvement.
Conduct parent meetings and provide on-going parent training.
Increase the level of parent involvement on the campus.
Coordinate the Parent Advisory Council and SBDM meetings.
Coordinate with District Title I personnel.
Maintain proper documentation.
Conduct parent involvement program effectiveness survey once a year.
Prepare a yearly schedule of parent involvement activities.
Maintain an inventory of all Title 1 parent involvement materials and equipment.
Design a parent involvement packet of information describing the campuses' services to be distributed at registration.
Create fliers and brochures to publicize all Title 1 and school events (media, fliers, etc.).
Arrange to have all campus documents translated as needed.
Coordinate transition activities with community day cares and district elementary schools.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to read and understand guidelines, communicate effectively (oral and written), ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, ability to work with a diverse population
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Lifting boxes of resource materials (up to 50 pounds), setting up for events, making phone calls, able to work some nights and late afternoons
