Job Description

Copperas Cove. As a Senior Relationship Banker, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining strong customer relationships while facilitating the opening and servicing of various accounts, including small business accounts. Your expertise will also be critical in assisting clients with closing consumer banking loans and ensuring their financial needs are met effectively. This role combines strong financial expertise, customer relationship management, and lending support to meet the diverse financial needs of our customers.

The Senior Relationship Banker plays a pivotal role in enhancing the financial well‑standing of customers by providing personalized banking solutions and fostering long‑lasting client relationships. This position demands a deep understanding of banking products, exceptional customer service, and the ability to contribute to the growth and success of the banking institution. This role also emphasizes adaptability and versatility, given the crucial objective of maintaining service consistency and operational efficiency across the region.

You will be required to fill in seamlessly at any branch, providing exceptional customer service and supporting branch operations as needed.

Responsibilities
  • Onboard, develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with new and existing customers and assist branches across regions during peak times, staff shortages, or special events.
  • Fill in as needed at various branches within the region to support daily operations, consistently demonstrating SWARM banking methodology and basic duties assigned to Relationship Bankers.
  • Safely and accurately handle cash, coins, and negotiable instruments following established cash‑handling procedures, while accurately processing a wide range of teller transactions including deposits and withdrawals in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Open and service various types of business and consumer checking and savings accounts, utilizing tools and resources to document all services completed on customers’ accounts.
  • Hold conversations with customers to understand their current and future financial needs to identify opportunities to make product recommendations and assist with personal‑loan closings end to end.
  • Provide exceptional service through the SWARM Banking approach, greeting customers by name as they walk into the lobby.
  • Assist with scheduling and risk‑management duties as called upon by the Relationship Banker Supervisor or Branch Manager—may not be applicable to all locations.
  • Help build the business by contributing toward monthly sales and service metrics through referrals to specialized departments: consumer lending, mortgage, wealth management, and insurance.
  • Utilize technology to educate customers on our full range of digital banking, including virtual tellers, the mobile app, and safe online‑banking habits; be a point of contact for customers facing technical issues.
