Primary PurposeMaintain safe and attractive athletic grounds and facilities for the district.

- Mow and detail all athletic fields.
- Water grounds and apply fertilizer and herbicides.
- Assist with the preparation of athletic fields for games, including chalking the field.
- Keep athletic facilities including sidewalks, driveways, and parking lots neat and clean.
- Detect and report needed major repairs on buildings, grounds, and equipment by following established procedures.
- Operate grounds equipment and tools following established safety procedures and rules.
- Remove dirt, rubbish, and refuse from athletic grounds and facilities; comply with local laws and procedures for the storage and disposal of trash.
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment and sprinkler system.
- Maintain equipment maintenance records.
- Assist with inventory and maintenance of athletic equipment.
- Assist with laundry.
- Perform maintenance on washing and drying machines, as needed.
- Work overtime as needed.
Tractor and mower; riding and reel mower; gas-powered weed trimmer; blower; edger; sprayer; stripping machine; hand tools, washing and drying machines.
Working Conditions Mental DemandsAbility to read operating instructions, communicate (verbally), and work independently.
Physical Demands / Environmental FactorsFrequent district wide travel. Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, heavy lifting, and carrying. Ability to operate tractor, mowers, and landscaping equipment. Work outside, exposed to extreme temperatures; and around moving objects or vehicles. Exposed to chemicals (herbicides and fertilizer). Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
