Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Office Assistant role based in Port Coquitlam, BC. The Office Assistant will handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including answering and directing phone calls, greeting visitors, and responding to general inquiries. Responsibilities include managing incoming and outgoing mail, filing and organizing documents, maintaining office supplies, and supporting data entry or basic record-keeping. The role also involves operating standard office equipment, preparing simple correspondence or forms, and assisting team members with clerical and scheduling tasks as needed.

The Office Assistant will contribute to a clean, organized, and professional office environment while providing courteous and efficient support to colleagues and visitors.

Qualifications
  • Strong phone etiquette and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Experience in administrative assistance and clerical skills, including filing, data entry, document preparation, and basic record management.
  • Comfort with office equipment such as printers, scanners, copiers, and multi-line phone systems.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., email, word processing, spreadsheets) and willingness to learn new tools or systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a busy office.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work on-site full time in Port Coquitlam, BC.
  • Previous office or customer service experience is an asset; high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
