The Finance Department plays a critical role in supporting AG’s strategic growth and long-term success. As Controller, you will lead the day-to-day accounting and financial reporting functions while ensuring strong internal controls, regulatory compliance, and financial integrity across the organization. This role partners closely with the VP, Finance and partners with cross‑functional leaders to support sound decision-making and operational excellence.
You’ll be responsible for- Ensures timely and accurate recording and reporting on all financial matters
- Develops, approves and implemented internal accounting policies, procedures and controls
- Assigns tasks and projects to staff and supervising month-end procedures
- Manages the annual year-end financial review with external accountants
- Directs and prepares fiscal operational budgets
- Oversees/audits yearly standard costing process
- Liaises with external parties on tax and regulatory matters
- Provides strong leadership and building team effectiveness through ongoing communication, participation in decision making and development of skills
- Conducts performance management, coaching, and team development initiatives in accordance with People & Culture Department
- Assists in the formulation and development of the Finance Department’s annual strategic plan in collaboration with the VP, Finance
- CPA Designation – CA, CGA, CMA or equivalent
- Completion of bachelor's degree in business, accounting or finance
- Experienced finance leader with a minimum of five years or more of professional experience in the management of finance and administration
- Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing and inventory‑based businesses is an asset
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, leadership and technical proficiency
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, motivate and manage people and use sound practical judgement
We’re looking for talented individuals to grow with us! The salary range for this role is $95,000 - $125,000 per year. The final agreed upon salary may vary based on factors such as job‑related knowledge, skills and experience. Additionally, this position is eligible for our annual bonus program.
