Manage the finances of the United Scottish Cultural Society in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The Treasurer will support the organization in its cultural mission with proven financial expertise.
In this ongoing position at USCS, the Treasurer will require a commitment to financial oversight within a non-profit context. The role demands senior-level experience in accounting, familiarity with not-for-profit financial reporting, and expertise in Quick Books. Attendance at bi-monthly meetings and the Highland Games in June is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and implement financial management practices
• Attend board meetings every two months as necessary
• Participate actively at the Scottish Highland Games event
• Provide hands-on financial reporting and oversight
• Ensure compliance with organisational financial standards
Requirements:
• Extensive experience in accounting and financial management
• Required expertise in Quick Books for financial reporting
• Commitment to a minimum two-year term
• Availability during important events and meetings
• Must communicate effectively in English
