Reporting to the Controller, you will ensure accurate payroll processing for 300+ employees and support financial reconciliations and improvements. Your insights will facilitate compliance with CRA and BC payroll laws, and you will provide mentorship to junior team members in payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage bi-weekly payroll for diverse employee groups
• Enhance financial reporting through process improvements
• Train staff on reporting obligations and financial analysis
• Support audit processes by preparing documentation
• Maintain and reconcile benefit accounts effectively
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in payroll and accounting roles
• Relevant degree or accounting diploma required
• Proficient in Excel, with strong analytical skills
• Understanding of payroll legislation and remittances
• Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous
