As our Business Banking Officer you’ll be part of the broader Business Banking Team, providing exceptional front‑line service delivery to a portfolio of small and medium business customers. Within your role, you will proactively identify products and services to meet members’ needs and help them achieve their goals, build and foster new business relationships, and onboard new business members through interactions both in person and virtually.
In addition, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and gain experiences in support of the broader commercial and business banking environment.
- General account management including opening and closing business accounts, managing non‑registered investments and amending/changing signors on business accounts
- Process Cash Management Product applications
- Provide service support for basic Cash Management products, seeking assistance from specialists in cash management as needed
- Identify new and existing business members’ needs and initiate discussions on Coast Capital products and services to help our members grow and protect their business assets
- Proactively and creatively offer helpful solutions/alternatives to customer inquiries
- Develop and create new business member relationships
- Ensure our business members have access to alternative service channels, such as online banking, payroll deposit and PAC
- Achieve production results in a needs‑based environment for the fulfillment and distribution of business financial needs
- Actively collaborate with other business partners and branch contacts to assist in identifying and referring opportunities to support commercial relationships
- Build business banking acumen and capability to heighten commercial banking awareness
- Individuals with an entrepreneurial spirit who are excited about working with small business clients to help them meet their goals
- A minimum of 1 year of job‑related financial services or entrepreneurial experience, ideally including exposure to lending, small or commercial banking, portfolio management and/or business development
- Post‑secondary education in finance, business administration or a related field
- Excellent organizational skills with orientation to detail and large volumes of work
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to understand financial statements
- Strong analytical skills and confidence in exploring and capturing customer needs and helping to find and recommend solutions
