Leavitt Industrial Group is looking for a strategic Human Resources Business Partner to join our team in Coquitlam, British Columbia
. As the Human Resources Business Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees, delivering strategic people solutions that enable business performance and foster a positive, inclusive employee experience.

• Partnering with business leaders to understand organizational goals and translate them into effective people strategies
• Serving as the primary contact for employee relations matters, investigating issues and providing recommendations
• Providing guidance on employment legislation, collective agreement, and policy interpretation
• Coaching and advising leaders and employees on a wide range of human resources topics
• Supporting workforce planning, capability building, and succession planning initiatives
• Supporting the full talent lifecycle including onboarding, performance management, and talent reviews, and guiding leaders through these processes
• Leveraging data and analytics to inform short‑and long‑term strategies that enhance employee experience

• Post‑secondary education in Human Resources or a related field
• Proven experience as an HR Business Partner with at least 5 years of progressively senior HR experience
• CPHR designation is preferred
• Expert knowledge of Canadian HR legislation including Employment Standards Acts/Codes, Workers’ Compensation, Human Rights Codes, Labour Relations Code, and experience working within unionized environments
• Experience working with an HRIS; experience with UKG is preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively work with employees, leaders, unions, and external industry contacts at all levels
• Strong change management and project management skills

The base pay range for this role is: $85,000 to $100,000 annually, depending on experience.

This is a hybrid role based in Coquitlam, British Columbia
