Lead underground development efforts in a FIFO mining environment. Utilize your expertise in mining regulations and safety to supervise drilling, blasting, and support operations effectively.
As an Underground Development Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating daily activities in accordance with safety standards. Your experience will play a crucial role in ensuring the advancement of underground headings while fostering strong team communication. With a background in mechanized development, you will lead safety meetings, monitor ground conditions, and support training initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise daily underground development activities
• Ensure compliance with Ontario Mining Act and OHSA
• Lead pre-shift safety meetings and inspections
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, and materials
• Communicate daily progress to management
Requirements:
• 5–10 years of underground mining experience
• Supervisory experience in an underground environment
• Knowledge of development methods and equipment
• Strong understanding of Ontario safety regulations
• Post-secondary education in Mining Engineering Technology preferred
